A city located in Volusia County, Florida United States, Daytona Beach has a population of 61,005. . Daytona Beach is also a principal city of the Fun Coast region of Florida. Throughout the years this city is known in having a beach where the hard packed sand permits vehicles to drive on restricted areas of the beach.
Due to the hard packed sand, Daytona Beach is the mecca for motor sports. The Daytona Beach Road Course has been in existence for over 50 years and was replaces in 1959 by Daytona Beach International Speedway. Daytona Beach is also headquartering for NASCAR
